A golf cart offers seating comfort and range; an electric golf trolley is smaller, foldable and belongs to you. But what does each actually cost in comparison? In this guide we set the types of cost side by side, give the GOOTER prices and show which costs depend on the manufacturer and the club.
The types of cost at a glance
When comparing, it is worth looking at more than the purchase price. These points determine the overall cost:
- Purchase or rental
- Transport and storage
- Servicing and spare parts
- Electricity, that is, charging
- Rules at the course
Purchase: golf cart and electric golf trolley
A golf cart is a vehicle with a seat, a larger build and a more powerful drive. The new price is generally well above that of an electric golf trolley. We do not quote specific cart prices here because they vary widely by manufacturer, equipment and supplier. Ask for current quotes. If you rent carts at your club, you pay per round or per season instead; the amounts are set by the club in question.
The GOOTER devices cost between 899 EUR and 3.599 EUR depending on the model:
| Model | Type | Price |
|---|---|---|
| E-CadOne | Electric golf trolley | 899 EUR |
| E-CadLight Carbon Remote | Trolley with remote control | 1.499 EUR |
| E-CadFollow Light | Follow trolley | 1.999 EUR |
| E-Cad Follow App Pro | Follow trolley with app | 2.299 EUR |
| E-CadCruiser Pro | Electric cart with seat | 2.199 EUR |
| E-CadPro | Ride-on trolley | 2.599 EUR |
| Ecad SeatStand 3.0 | Scooter with seat | 2.999 EUR |
| BalancePro | Golf scooter | 3.599 EUR (on request) |
If you want to ride seated, the E-CadCruiser Pro (2.199 EUR) and the SeatStand 3.0 (2.999 EUR) are the relevant models.
Transport and storage
A golf cart generally stays at the club or on the course. A device of your own, on the other hand, comes with you on every round and is stored at your home. You need to plan space in the car and at home:
- E-CadCruiser Pro: folded approx. 42 × 58 × 76 cm (without seat cushion), approx. 46 kg with battery and seat.
- E-CadPro: folded approx. 105 × 54.3 × 39 cm (without battery), approx. 28 kg without battery, approx. 33 kg with battery.
- E-CadOne: approx. 8 kg without battery.
The batteries are removable. Measure your boot beforehand and bear the loading weight in mind.
Servicing
Every motorised device needs care and, if in doubt, spare parts. With GOOTER, spare parts are available and service and repairs are coordinated through GOOTER. If a replacement unit is required under the statutory warranty, we will arrange it. For our golf scooters, we coordinate repairs through partners, generally in your region. The servicing costs of a golf cart depend on the model and the workshop.
Charging and range
The electricity cost per charge depends on your electricity tariff. The manufacturer's figures give guidance on range and charging time, and they depend on terrain, load, temperature and driving style:
- E-CadCruiser Pro: at least approx. 25 km off-road, up to approx. 45 km on the flat, charging time approx. 5 to 8 hours.
- E-CadPro: up to approx. 60 km, charging time approx. 6 to 8 hours.
- SeatStand 3.0: up to approx. 50 km, charging time approx. 6 to 8 hours.
Rules at the course
Whether carts or electric trolleys are allowed is decided by the course rules. At many clubs carts are restricted; even with devices that have a riding mode, use may be restricted depending on the club. Ask your club beforehand.

Conclusion and recommendation
If you want a device of your own to take on every round, an electric golf trolley or seated scooter is generally the cheaper option compared with buying a golf cart. If you want to play seated often and for long periods, check carts, course rules and rental models. To get started with riding seated, we recommend the E-CadCruiser Pro or the Ecad SeatStand 3.0. You will find all the details on the alternative on the golf cart alternative page, and if you are unsure the quiz helps. The devices are in stock (BalancePro on request), with delivery usually within 7 business days and EU-wide shipping; shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
